COMPANY SECRETARIES
From 6 April 2008 the Companies Act 2006 does not require a private company to have a secretary, but a company can have a secretary if it so wishes. (Note, however, that a public company must have a secretary.)
If a company does not have a secretary, any act required to be carried out by the secretary can be carried out by the company’s director(s).
